Create a file folder for this week titled with your name and Task 3.

Place the following items in the file folder:

• PowerPoint presentation that you will use in this week’s lesson (please leave the PowerPoint blank at this time)
• All images that you will use in your storytelling PowerPoint
• A handout (on-ground students, you will use this handout in class; online students, you will give this handout to any members of your small group)
• A list of three questions you will ask your audience to see if they were actively listening
• Plan for a 7-9 minute presentation.
• An APA formatted outline that contains

– the introduction to your presentation
– researched events for your presentation
– the conclusion to your presentation

Now, zip the file and upload it to Moodle for use in the Lesson portion of this week’s module.

Online students – your assignment is due by Sunday night at 11:59 p.m. EST

Lesson 3

Welcome to your third lesson!

In this week’s lesson you will use the zip file you uploaded to Moodle in the Task to prepare your third speech – a small group presentation on a topic within your field of study or within your current career field.

On-ground students – your presentations will be made in a small group setting.

Online students – you may gather a small group and film your presentation, or you may simply write and present it with a small group audience in mind.

Open the file you uploaded to the Task titled with your name and Task 3 containing the

• blank PowerPoint

• images for your PowerPoint

• outline

• questions for the audience

• handout(s)

Prepare your PowerPoint by selecting a background that complements your topic, includes your selected images, and is organized according to the items listed in your outline.

Remember – your presentations must contain an introduction and a conclusion and should be 7-9 minutes in length.

ALL students will upload their PowerPoint presentations to Moodle.

On-ground students – after you upload your presentation to Moodle you will present it live to the class. A recording is not necessary.

Online students – please upload a narrated PowerPoint using the built-in recording software OR a non-narrated PowerPoint along with a video of you presenting the PowerPoint using your phone, video camera, webcam, or other recording software.

Online students – your assignment is due by Sunday night at 11:59 p.m. EST
