Purpose:The purpose of this assignment is to reflect on your internship experience.
Skills: As a result of completing this assignment you will review the experiences you
have had this semester in you internship.
Knowledge: This assignment will allow you to synthesize the experiences you have had
this semester in you internship.
Part A:Write up a summary of the goals you presented in the Internship Overview Assignment
and/or paperwork submitted to sign up for the internship.
1. Restate each internship and personal goal
2. Define how each was or was not met.
a. If the goal was met what was learned from the experience.
b. If the goal was not met what prevented it.
3. This part should be a minimum of 800 –1000 words or at least 2 pages in length.
List with the number and name of the courses (i.e. HMD 259) that you feel best prepared
you for the internship.
Why do you feel they prepared you for the internship.
Part C:A review of the HM Books you completed the first 5 weeks of the semester.
Discuss how helpful the HM books were or were not in preparing you for your internship.
Discuss your overall learning experiences acquired from completing the internship.

o Double–spaced using 8 1/2 x 11–inch paper
o Two pages (500–1000 words) minimum – you can always write more
o 1–inch margins on the top, bottom, left, and right
o 12–point font (Arial or Times Roman)
o Citations for any ideas not the student’s own are fully and accurately cited so a
third party can easily find the original source (APA format).
o Use in text citations and submit a reference list.
o Professional language used in the assignment write up and the thank you letter.
