  • What was their research question? Or more specifically, what were their hypotheses and predictions? 
  • What was the type of research design: correlational or experimental?
  • What were the independent variables or predictor variables in their study? What was manipulated and/or what was measured? 
  • What were the main dependent variables or outcome variables? How were they measured?
  • What were the procedures of the study?
  • What were the main findings? Did they support their hypotheses or not? Did the findings support theory or previous research on the topic?
  • Implications & Conclusions
  • What are the main implications of this work? Why is it important? 
  • Are there any important limitations of the research you should note?
