Part 2:

Another problem they are encountering is sharing documents. Determine what type of documents they need to share for the sake of an example. Assuming that the computers are not on an internal network, but they do have access to the Internet, what methods could staff use to collaborate and share documents using the Internet? What types of documents could they share?

Part 1:

In order to troubleshoot issues you can utilize applications to gather information about the error. Applications that are utilized by Windows 10 would be steps recorder, reliability monitor, and event viewer. Steps Recorder screenshots every step on a screen but not text typed by the user. Reliability Monitors collects data on software installation and uninstallation, application failures, miscellaneous failures, and windows failures. Event viewer manages events such as errors, warnings, and information. Once more information is revealed, more options of solutions should arise. If certain errors get found a scheduled task can occur to solve the issue if it is small. Or scheduling an appointment to resolve the issue such as removing the drive itself if it is still slowing down processes.

Part 2:

With knowing that everyone has internet access we can recommend to utilize the OneDrive. OneDrive is a cloud-based storage that can be accessed on any device. It is always backed up automatically, can be edited by multiple users anywhere. When users edit documents they also provide the previous document readily available for backup. Users can download the files that is being shared. One Drive allows you to upload and edit all types of documents, word, excel, pdf, are all able to be shared. You can also share documents just by sending the link to the email address of the user that does not have OneDrive. Having the URL makes it easily accessible to share the file and folder without them having to login but it must associated with a Microsoft account.

Part 1:

The user placed a trouble ticket concerning the inability to open secure websites. The website requires a proper certificate for the user to access it. Before the user can access the website, it usually asks the user to log in using one of their certificates. The user is using Firefox to access the website. Whenever the user attempts to access the site from Firefox, it prompts a problem with the certificate, but the website doesn’t ask the user for a certificate. The browsers installed on the computer are Internet Explorer and Firefox. There are multiple solutions to this problem. First, verify if the user can access the Internet Explorer (IE) website. The user will likely access from IE because Windows stores user certificates within IE. If the certificate is not present, install the proper certification. Suppose the user intends to continue using Firefox. In that case, the solution is to import the client certificate to Firefox because the browser will only ask for user certificates if they are already on the browser.

Part 2:

The user has problems sharing PowerPoint slides via Outlook. The size of the file is more than 10 MB. Typically, 10 MB is the default size for sending Emails via Exchange. Since the distant end is not located within the same network, they will not access the files via network drives. There are multiple options that the originator can do for them to share the file. The first option that the user can do is shrink the file size by zipping it. The second option is to collaborate via Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams is great for virtual meetings and sharing different file types like PowerPoints and PDFs. The originator can upload the file, and the distant end can download it. Microsoft Teams is very versatile; it allows users to record the meetings.
