I know it is a lot, pace yourself, and skim for important people, terms, causes, and consequences. Main discussion – 350 words and peer response – 150 words Please remember, the minimum word count for your main discussion and peer responses are just a base level minimum number of words. If you do the bare minimum, that is average. Average does not equate to a 100% unless it is excellent, comparative, out of the box, perfectly supported, masterfully analyzed, with spot on spelling and grammar.
Please discuss the Chinese voyages of exploration (Links to an external site.). Make note of the time period in which the Chinese were actively exploring, the key figures, motives for exploration, and where they explored. Why didn’t the voyages continue? Finally offer your assessment of what would have been different about world history had the voyages continued. Respond to one other student.
Discuss unification in Japan under the Tokugawa. What were the positive aspects of the Tokugawa Shogunate, what were the negatives? Answering this requires taking a close look at the society, as well as thinking about what was going on outside of Japan at this time. Respond to one other student. After watching the following cc documentary, (also found at Kanopy (Links to an external site.)) please discuss Africa and the Africa slave trade. Why would some African people engage in the slave trade? What role did racism have in the expansion of the slave trade and the experiences of enslaved peoples in what will become the United States?
