You may include EDL 204 articles among your references but your research MUST go beyond our course materials. The paper should be doublespaced with 1” margins and 12 point font, in APA formatting throughout. The paper should have two major sections:

RATIONALE (5-6 PAGES)

• Your platform should begin with a clear understanding of the socio-cultural aspects of education. What is the Social Foundations of Education? (re-watch Video 1 Introduction to Unit 1: Foundations of Education (链接到外部网站。) (course video). How can this help your group in understanding how historical issues impact education today? Explicitly name the topic in the beginning that you are going to address in this platform.
• Within your rationale, you should begin by taking a stance on democratic purposes of education in a pluralistic society. Clearly identify what is meant by a pluralistic democracy and who is helping you with this definition (cite scholars/theorists).
