Assignment: Driving Your Research

Throughout this course, you have been collecting research and collaborating on an identified issue in the field of special education. You have analyzed research, for and against the issue you identified. You have also created an action plan along with technical documents suggesting the need for change and/or the need for continued support of the issue you identified.

For this Assignment, you will synthesize all of the research you have collected and analyzed and create problem statements that could further drive the need for continued research in the field of special education.

To prepare:

·Review all module Learning Resources.

·Synthesize the resources you have collected related to the issue(s) you identified in the field of special education of interest to you.

·Consider how you might frame problem statements related to your selected issues in order to continue (or start) further research.

Note: You should have at least 3–5 resources.

Submit an explanation of the issue(s) in the field of special education you chose to focus on. Include 3–4 problem statements that could further drive the need for future research in the field of special education based on your synthesis of the research you collected and analyzed related to the issue you chose.

Part 1: Problem Statements Using the resources for this module, feedback from class colleagues, and any additional research conducted, candidate writes 3 or 4 problem statements that represent potential topics for candidate’s future doctoral Project Study or EdS Capstone Project.

Part 2: Closure Reflection I Candidate writes a closure reflection that answers the following guiding question: In what ways did this course impact your thinking?
