# 1 A coaching leadership style is collaborative, supportive, and guiding. Coaching leaders are dedicated to developing their organizations’ potential by helping them through objectives and challenges. This type of leadership is opposed to authoritarian leaders, which is characterized by top-down decision-making. One of the advantages of leaders that operate in a coaching manner is equipped to foster a stable, pleasant work atmosphere. Other advantages include the fact that the employees clearly understand what the organization expects from them and it increases the skill sets for each employee. On the other hand, the main disadvantage is that whenever coaching leadership qualities are not applied properly or are not incorporated successfully, they may cause difficulties on many levels. Other demerits include it takes more time to realize the benefits and that mentoring is not always the right approach to leading.Secondly, the bureaucratic leadership approach centered on defined official responsibilities inside a hierarchical authority structure, governed by a set of administrative and decision-making norms. This leadership style may be beneficial in highly regulated industries and may be an effective approach in organizations that do not need much innovation or invention from workers. Those who oppose bureaucracy say that it stymies creativity and economic development. Nevertheless, a successful leader understands how to harness the beneficial aspects of bureaucracy to create efficient processes that foster creativity rather than suffocate it. Its advantages include a concise definition for the roles for all employees, fosters compliance to all legal and statutory business standards and laws, and that it fosters better specialization. On the other hand, its disadvantages include suffocating any chances of innovative culture, lack of positive competition, and slow implementation of organizational change.Thirdly, authoritative leadership applies where the leader exercises total control. This form of leadership motivates companies and their workers to work together toward a shared objective. These executives collaborate with workers across their operations, guiding and mentoring them to achieve. Some authoritarians compel individuals to behave based on their expertise and instincts. These executives do not depend on others’ feedback but instead utilize their expertise to seize chances when they present themselves. Their proclivity for intervention is what distinguishes these people as autocratic leaders. Some advantages of this form of leadership include the organization having an identified chain of leadership, there is a clear definition of employee expectations at all levels of the company, and the fact that this form of leadership is applicable in situations where the employees are inexperienced. On the other hand, the approach’s drawbacks include there is immense pressure on the leader, the organization having little or no flexibility and in extreme cases, there are leader-to-employee conflicts.# 2 Strategic leadershipThis leadership style involves creating a vision or plan to benefit from the resources available to enhance competitive advantage in a market space or segment. Strategic leadership is advantageous to an organization as it improves daily and long-term performance by creating a vision-minded environment among employees. Furthermore, strategic leadership encourages objective thinking. For instance, when this leadership style is applied in an organization, strategic leaders should understand the connection between daily goals and future goals, thus ensuring objective thinking. Another advantage is that strategic leadership creates more clarity to tasks because of clear communication by strategic leaders.This leadership style can stall company growth because of neglecting daily risks when focusing on the future. Alternatively, this leadership style is potentially expensive because it requires aligning a strategic plan to the company. Lastly, this leadership is ineffective because it is impossible to predict the future.Transformational leadershipThis leadership style involves an approach to changing individuals and social systems. This leadership style creates valuable and positive change among employees. Transformational leadership creates passion among employees because they are devoted to change. Alternatively, it solves problems within an organization because of the change processes advocated by leaders.However, transformational leadership can develop negative outcomes. This leadership style offers few positive outcome opportunities, and for each positive outcome, there is a negative outcome. This leadership style requires constant and consistent feedback to work. Alternatively, when using this leadership style in an organization, employees can see their impact on business, especially if they are working towards a common goal.
