I need a response please

The health care industry is a business. The healthcare industry, like any other business, stands to profit from strategies that promote innovation and growth. Healthcare providers give a one-of-a-kind service to their patients, but this does not guarantee their success. The service must demonstrate a thorough understanding of how to deal with and meet the needs of customers and in this case, patients. Some people do not consider healthcare is a business because health is not a marketable product, in the sense that it cannot be exchanged between individuals. The non-marketability of health lowers the capacity of market forces (demand and supply) to determine prices and quantities because demand for health care is generated from demand for health. As a result, the market’s ability to distribute wealth is greatly reduced (Mwachofi & Al-Assaf, 2011). Healthcare is different from other industries because the health care product is ill-defined, the outcome of care is unpredictable, substantial sectors of the business are dominated by nonprofit providers, and payments are handled by third parties such as the government and commercial insurers, making it distinct from other goods and services. Many of these elements are seen in other businesses as well, but none are found in every industry. The combination of these components is what distinguishes health care.

I do believe the business case for diversity competence in healthcare is strong enough that leadership in the U.S. healthcare provider organizations should make strategic diversity management and cultural competence a high priority. As we discuss last week, culturally competent health care services aim to provide the best possible care to all patients, regardless of race, ethnicity, or cultural background. I think patients should be treated with repect not because they are paying a healthcare provider for their services, but because everyone wants to feel valued and accepted. Patients seek help from a doctor or nurse because they are not feeling physically well in the first place. The best a provider can do for them before anything is make them feel welcomed regaless of their race or culture.
