There is no specific format for the case reports, but they should look professional. The team name and each team member name must appear in the cover page of the case report with the date of the presentation. You will submit in your case report at the day of your presentation. Although, there are many ways of approaching case analysis reports, I think the following guidelines will be helpful in writing reports:

Format for Written Case Study

I. Cover Page

  1. Course title
  2. Case title
  3. Students first and last name
  4. Date
  5. Instructor name and title

II. Introduction

  1. Describe the case in a few sentences.
  2. Briefly identify the key issue(s) facing the manager/key person or the company/institution.
  3. Express how your paper will be organized, i.e., identify what the major sections will be and the sequence in which they will be presented.

III. Body

  1. Key issues, goals, problems.
  2. Complement the existing data from the case material with new, up-to-date information through primary and secondary research methods.
  3. SWOT
  4. How does the case tie-in with chapter objectives?
  5. Justification/Predicted Outcome or Recommendations: It is important that all guesstimates or creative ideas be founded upon some economic rationale. If you are not confident in your ability to do so…please feel free to discuss well in advance of your case presentation.

IV. Case Questions

Answer case questions at the end of the case.

V. Conclusion

Briefly summarize the essential difficulties posed in this case and the relevance of recommended solutions.

V. References

Include minimum of five references. Textbooks you have used in your studies are appropriate. Use APA style for citations and reference page.

Writing Mechanics and Formatting for Case Study Report

Your case study reports must not exceed 5000 words, excluding cover page, tables and bibliography. Margins should be set at 1.0” top, 1.0” bottom, and 0.75” right and left. Paper size should be set for 8.5” by 11”. Base font should be set to Times New Roman in a 12-point size and single spaced. Set tab settings to 0.25”, so that the first line of a paragraph is indented by that amount. All text should be full-justified. First level sub-headings should be left-justified, boldface, in upper and lower case, and printed in 14-point type. Second level sub-headings should be left-justified, upper and lower case, in bold italics, and printed in 12-point type. Third level sub-headings, if necessary, are indented, bold italics, upper case on the first word only, and no punctuation at the end. That paragraph begins right after the sub-heading. For the references use APA citation (https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/ (链接到外部网站。) ). Number your pages consecutively throughout the manuscript (including the first page) in the upper right-hand corner of each page, one-half inch from the top.
